Hair Loss Is Not Inherited

The most general type of hair loss in man is by distant male pattern hair loss (which means androgenic alopecia.) If anybody suffers from such condition, hair on his head gradually gets thin & thinner which may take time until it vanishes completely. This is known as “pattern hair loss or baldness” since hair is lost in “M” shape, in a well-defined pattern.

There are plenty of causes adding towards hair loss. On the other hand, according to studies, the major cause is the surplus height of an androgenic hormone i.e. dihydrotestosterone (DHT) plays an important role in growth of male secondary sexual character but an improved intensity of Dihydrotestosterone leads to supposed follicular neatness, due to which the hair streak thickness is constantly reduced and hair becomes thin. Earlier it was considered that hair loss is inborn but there is no ultimate evidence in this case.

The common approach towards the hair loss treatment is; by some recommended drugs as Minoxidil and Finasteride (available as Propecia). Though, it shows that drugs does not always helps and secondly have many ill effects including gynecomastia i.e. growth of breast in men, erectile dysfunction, headaches, acne and others. Though, these man-made chemicals have helped a number of patients.
